Push, Pull or Twist
Nothing moves by itself! There are two types of forces – push or pull forces, or twist. Forces always occur in pairs. An action force is always opposed by an equal reaction force. If the forces acting on an object are unbalanced, then the object will move. If the forces acting on an object are balanced, then the object will either be at rest (not moving) or be moving in a constant motion. Forces are measured in the unit called the newton. A weight force of 1 kg is ten newtons (10N). |
